Instructional Design
As an instructional designer, I do more than simply create instructional materials. By utilizing different learning theories, I carefully consider how students learn best and then implement design research to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
01
Analysis
During the analysis phase, I work with SMEs to develop an understanding of learner needs and break down the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each learning goal using the shown kick-off meeting agenda or other needs analysis tool.
02
Design
During the design phase, I determine how the course will unfold using a storyboard or other content flow outline as a framework.
The shown example is a storyboard for an Ashford University Early Childhood Development course.
03
Development
During the development phase, I utilize various
software programs to develop courses and create training materials.

the years.
04
Implementation
During the implementation phase, I organize the entire learning project to ensure instructors and learners are prepared to undertake the course.

05
Evaluation
During the evaluation phase, I utilize course feedback to improve content and interactions of the course.
